We received a call from a homeowner whose radon levels remained elevated despite previous repair attempts by a separate company. After an extensive evaluation, Stratton Radon Removal replaced the existing fan, which was estimated to be over 15 years old. We re-aligned the extraction piping for better airflow and removed the PVC line leading into the basement sump pit, as it was not effectively reducing the radon levels. We then sealed and capped the lid opening and the wall bore for the client. Finally, we installed a RadonWell system in their crawlspace, achieving excellent suction pressure. As a result, the radon levels dropped significantly, from a high of 17 down to a safe 2.3.
